Mayor Robert Duffy has again accepted our association’s invitation to speak to our membership on September, 30 2010 at a special meeting time. He has agreed to speak about the city’s initiatives in revitalizing Rochester neighborhoods and the role we, as investors are currently, and will be playing in the future. Since most FFREIA members own one or more city properties the mayor’s visit allows us an opportunity to understand the issues of growth trends in the city, security issues in our neighborhoods and the collaborative and mutual value our organizations can provide to make Rochester a great place to live.
We investors need to know how our investment in city properties can be maximized by coordinating with the City’s initiatives to promote neighborhood growth and stability.
Come hear what Mayor Duffy has to say about how we can prosper in giving back to our community.
BRING YOUR QUESTIONS FOR THE MAYOR and submit them at the reception table as you enter

NOTES from the FFREIA Board:
We are already at mid-year 2010 and optimum time to reevaluate FFREIA. We do this to better be prepared for the future in terms of our organizations goals and objectives and to make sure that they mirror our member’s goals and objectives. We need to take the temperature of FFREIA periodically and make sure it retains its vitality and health for the exciting opportunities and challenges we investors will be confronted with in the next few years. We must all be aware that we all have a stake in the success of this organization, and to that end we must all attempt to share in helping FFREIA to achieve that success.
We try to listen to our members and appreciate the valuable feedback that we have received recently. In response to that feedback the board has decided on a strategic restructuring of FFREIA to better fulfill our objectives in serving its membership and nurturing its growth. But, we need your HELP!
The tasks we need to perform are many and the volunteers are few. We have compiled a series of these tasks which are open for members who feel they can commit (on a part time basis) to a leadership position to manage and be part of the greater FFREIA team. We hope that the response to this email is robust. We have a few volunteers who have already stepped forward but not merely enough. Once we have a number of members interested we will have a meeting with all who are interested.
OUR GREATEST NEEDS:
– Social Media
Volunteers to manage FFREIA sites (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Meet-up).
– Blog Managers that can commit to 2-5 hours per month contacting active FFREIA members
